The Windhorse Trust (Reg. Charity 1098979) allocates grants to projects that request financial help.
Recent examples are;
- Buddhist Centres in Dublin, Poland and South Africa.
- Retreat Centres in the Netherlands and Brazil.
- Support for Buddhist classes in Russia and Venezuela.
- Preserving and publishing written and audio work by members of The Western Buddhist Order.
Smaller grants are also allocated to individuals and include such things as;
- Expenses for Order members giving meditation & Buddhism classes to Outreach groups.
- Grants to groups who are raising money to buy specific Buddhist art.
- Supporting individuals to go on pilgrimage or longer periods of retreat.
- Helping individuals who wish to start Buddhist groups.
This support aims to make Buddhism and other associated, secular practices such as meditation and yoga available to anyone who is interested.
